Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia, Bergamo
A win for the Bianconero against Atalanta will guarantee a spot in next season's Champion's League qualifier's round, but would also close the gap on second spot which is still a possibility.
The first league meeting between the two sides was decided by a late Pavel Nedved goal. That was a tight match with Atalanta giving Juve no room, this should be a more open encounter with Atalanta playing at home and looking for European qualification, they will be looking for the win.
This will be Juve's third game in a week, after victories over AC Milan and Parma confidence will be high in the Bianconero's dressing room knowing a victory will guarantee a top four finish, which would be a fanatic achievement considering were they came from.
Juventus will be without the services of Jorge Andrade, and Mohamed Sissoko, Vincenzo Iaquinta, Giorgio Chiellini, but they do get back Jonathan Zebina, Nicola Legrottaglie and Cristiano Zanetti who have all come back from injuries. The absence of Chiellini and Sissoko is a big blow to Juve, both players give the team stability, strength and hardness with their 100% attitude. The return of Zanetti is great news for Juventus he was one of Juve's inform players until he got injured against Genoa.
Juventus have eight players who are one yellow card away from a one game suspension, they are Nocerino, Palladino, Salihamidzic, Trezeguet, Grygera, Zanetti, Camoranesi and Stendardo. With a tricky encounter next weekend against Lazio it will be key that Trezeguet and Palladino don't get booked or it will leave the Juve front line with only one attacker.
Claudio Ranieri will play a 4-4-2 formation against Nerazzurri, but with injuries to key players it will be interesting to see who Ranieri decides to play in this tricky encounter.
Once again Ranieri will have to shuffle his line up due to injuries, with the absence of Chiellini in defence Guglielmo Stendardo will play in consecutive games after he filled in for the injured Legrottaglie aginst Parma.
With the absence of Sissoko and Zanetti just returning from injury there will be no key man in the center of midfield, Ranieri could decided to start Camoranesi in the center where he has played well but does dislike playing there. Most likely however is that Tiago and Nocerino will be given the chance to start and impress to see if either can ease some off the pressure which is on them with a good performance.
Pavel Nedved will return to the starting line up after missing the game against Milan and coming on as a sub against Parma he is now fully fit and will return as a left winger to replace Raffaele Palladino who played well against Parma and scored a goal.
There wont be any changes to the Juve strike force with Alessandro Del Piero and David Trezeguet in great form and Vincenzo Iaquinta injured Ranieri will have to rely on the experienced duo.
Buffon
Grygera - Stendardo- Legrottaglie - Molinaro
Camoranesi - Nocerino -Tiago - Nedved
Trezeguet - Del Piero
Camoranesi - Nocerino -Tiago - Nedved
Trezeguet - Del Piero
Against Atalanta it wont be an easy match they are pushing for a European place and looking for their first league win over a top four side this season, they are however missing there top scorer Doni who is suspended. A win for Juventus will give them their goal of a Champions League place and keep the dream alive for second place, Juventus have struggled against smaller teams and lost any chance they had to win the title by not being able to get wins against smaller teams. Lets hope Juve can get a win over Atalanta and guarantee a spot in Champions League. FORZA JUVE
