Amauri Joins Juventus
Amauri is a Juventus player. The Brazilian striker, who had already undergone his medical Tuesday in Turin, signed a four-year contract in Vinovo today. 22.6 million Euros will go to Palermo, but the Sicilian Club will give Juventus 7.5 million Euros for Antonio Nocerino.
"Playing for Juventus is a great victory for me – Amauri declared just after signing the contract – After eight years in Italy moving from club to club I finally arrive at a great Club, with prestigious ambitions and where I'll be able to play the Champions League".
Amauri doesn't really need introductions: the fifteen goals he scored in the last League tournament speak for themselves. These aren't the only noteworthy numbers about him, though. First of all there’s his imposing physique: 1.86 m for 83 kg. And then there’s his remarkable experience in Italy, where he has already played 155 games in Serie A, scoring 41 goals, playing for Napoli, Piacenza, Chievo and Palermo, plus 23 games and 4 goals in Serie B with Messina.
Now he's set to begin both his ninth season in Italy and his adventure at Juventus. And as he's going to turn 28 soon, on June 3, he really couldn't have hoped for a nicer birthday gift.
