Yesterday wasn't just Christian Poulsen's day, but also Dario Knezevic's. The Croatian defender arrived at the Pinzolo training camp last night to put himself at Claudio Ranieri’s disposal.
But he won't be joining his team mates on the pitch for now. The injury he picked up at the European Championships will force him to undergo treatment and he should only start working with the rest of the group at the end of the month, according to the medical bulletin which was compiled on the day he was introduced to the press.
At this stage, only five players are still missing: the four Italian internationals (Buffon, Chiellini, Camoranesi and Del Piero) and new signing Poulsen, who will start training in Vinovo from Thursday the 17th. They will then join the rest of the squad on Saturday 19th, when the whole team will travel to Chiusa Pesio (near Cuneo) for a training session-cum-exhibition.
