No internationals For Buffon And Camoranesi
Italy's team doctor, Prof. Enrico Castellacci, and Juventus’ own Dr. Riccardo Agricola agreed the tests to be carried out this morning on Mauro German Camoranesi and Gigi Buffon; both arrived last night at the National team's training camp suffering from injuries they picked up in the League game against Palermo.
Tests on the midfielder confirmed the results of the visit he underwent yesterday morning in Turin: a first-degree lesion to his right thigh's bicep muscle. He should be recovering in 15 to 20 days.
The keeper was unable to be visited yesterday for personal reasons (he had his son Louis Thomas' christening to attend near Carrara), and today he was found to have a first-second lesion to his right abductor muscle. He should be back on the pitch in about 30 days' time.
The players, after speaking with the Club and the Bianconeri's medical staff, have been allowed to stay with the National team at least until Friday, the day when the squad will leave for Bulgaria, where Saturday they play the first of the two World Cup qualifying games.
