The Transfer Market Situation As Explained By Marotta
The Europa League match against Shamrock Rovers is the right occasion to speak of the transfer market. Even though Juventus are already in their second official match of the season, August is a month of deals.
Before the match at the Braglia stadium, Giuseppe Marotta spoke exclusively on Mediaset. First subject: the outgoing transfer market. "At the moment the squad is numerous and we are working to allow some of our players to find space elsewhere. We are speaking with the other managements but I am optimistic. The signings depend on these transfers".
One of the names rumoured to be close to Juventus is that of Dzeko. The Director General for Sport Affairs is realistic about the situation: "The player showed his will to wear the Juve jersey but it is what his club wants that counts and if the seller does not want to sell there is little one can do. That which was a dream is difficult to make true".
"We have 20 days and during this time we will also have answers with regards to whom is included in the squad. We will then try to end the transfer market with a team according to our expectations".
While waiting for the 31st August, there is a Juve which is playing and showing its worth. It is Summer football but there is always a controversy to be expected and created by the press after the exclusion of Del Piero from the starting line-up at the Braglia. Marotta answered by saying:
"We are already facing an official competition and many other matches await us. For this reason, all the squad must be utilized throughout the season. We have players of an excellent level, they are all useful and indispensable like Del Piero".
