Almost one week of training at the Pinzolo summer camp has gone by and the team are working hard preparing the new season. But, as often happens in the first days of training after a long break, there have been a few injuries.
Just hours before the game against Mezzocorona, Juventus' medical staff have assessed the current situation. While Zebina has recovered, after missing yesterday's training due to fatigue, five players will be missing the team's debut: they are Sissoko, Trezeguet, Tiago, Marchionni and Andrade.
- Sissoko. The Malian is continuing his personal schedule to recover from the left thigh injury he suffered with the National team. Under a clinical point of view, his recovery is going very well. The player will undergo a final test next week, with the team already back in Vinovo for the second part of the training camp, and should be able to go back with the squad at that point.
- Trezeguet. The problem to his right kneecap's tendon is healing fine. He will be already doing some recovery training this afternoon, which will continue tomorrow morning; after that he will leave Pinzolo for Paris. On Sunday, France celebrate the 10th anniversary of their 1998 World Cup win and will do so by playing a friendly against a ‘rest of the world’ representative side, but Trezeguet will obviously not take part in the game itself. On Sunday morning he will make his way back to the Val Rendena to resume training.
- Tiago. Has almost completely recovered from muscle fatigue. He will still train separately today, but from tomorrow he will start working as normal again.
- Marchionni. Is suffering from muscle fatigue in his left leg.
- Andrade. During yesterday's training, he felt a pain in his left knee. He will undergo further tests later on today.
