After six days' training, it's time for Juventus to play a full match. As scheduled, tomorrow afternoon, Friday July the 11th, Ranieri's team will play their first friendly of the 2008/09 season.
Just like last season, the Bianconeri's first opponents are local team Mezzocorona, managed by Claudio Rastelli (who used to play for Ranieri at Napoli); they have had a great season in Serie C2 and are ready to challenge Ranieri's team at 5 pm on the Pineta pitch in Pinzolo, where Juve do their training. The game will be shown live on Juventus Channel.
Juventus prepared for the event with two training sessions today. A few players were missing: Trezeguet and Andrade did their physiotherapy, while Tiago and Zebina rested due to fatigue. Meanwhile, Sissoko continues training on his own, but the Mali native is really eager to get back into the action, as confirmed by Ranieri in the press conference on the eve of the match:
"He needs to be told to take it easy at the moment because he wants to do what his team mates are doing. The last tests' results still force us to be a little more cautious for now".
