Claudio Ranieri has named a 25-man squad for the TIM Trophy, scheduled for Tuesday evening at the Olimpico in Turin, just like he did for the trip to Germany.
There's one change though: Tiago is in the list, having fully recovered from injury, and Zanetti isn't. In the match against Borussia, Cristiano was hit hard on his right thigh and ultrasound scans have identified a muscle contusion. The midfielder will need to rest for three days and then he'll be able to train again.
Almiron's name is also missing from the list; he left yesterday for Argentina to deal with bureaucratic transactions necessary to renew his residence permit in Italy.
This is the list of players called up in full:
- Goalkeepers: Buffon, Chimenti, Nocchi
- Defenders: Chiellini, Grygera, Knezevic, Legrottaglie, Mellberg, Molinaro, Zebina, Ariaudo
- Midfielders: Camoranesi, Ekdal, Marchionni, Nedved, Poulsen, Salihamidzic, Sissoko, Tiago, Esposito
- Strikers: Amauri, Del Piero, Iaquinta, Trezeguet, Rossi
