The moment of the first Champions League qualifier game is getting closer. Juventus and Artmedia will take the pitch tomorrow evening, Wednesday August 13th, at the Olimpico Stadium in Turin. Kick-off at 8.45 pm. The game will be shown live on the Rai Uno TV channel and as live on Juventus Channel from midnight.
There is great anticipation among the Bianconeri fans, who are steadily buying tickets for the match. About 24 hours before the game, 19,000 tickets have already been sold and the rest will be on sale up to the game's kick-off.
The match's referee will be the Greek Vassaras (see article). Against Artmedia, Claudio Ranieri will have to do without Nedved, suspended, Zanetti and Marchionni, injured, as well as Knezevic, who hasn't completely recovered from the injury suffered in London and hasn't been able to train fully with the others. Obviously the three lads currently in Beijing with the National Olympic team (Giovinco, Marchisio and De Ceglie) will also be missing the game. Ranieri has had to resort to the Youth Team boys, calling up Ariaudo, Esposito and Pasquato.
In total Ranieri has named a 21-man squad. Here is the list in full.
- Goalkeepers: 1.Buffon, 12.Chimenti,
- Defenders: 3.Chiellini, 21.Grygera, 33.Legrottaglie, 4. Mellberg, 28.Molinaro, 5.Zebina, 41.Ariaudo
