Ranieri: "I Liked The Younger Players A Lot"
The most eagerly awaited week of the summer ended with a defeat at the Berlusconi Trophy, an event that was definitely overshadowed by the great performance on Wednesday against Artmedia that all but closed the deal in terms of qualifying for the Champions League proper.
The defeat against AC Milan had a negative note in Chiellini's injury but there were also a few mistakes on the pitch.
After the game, Claudio Ranieri chose to focus on the positive, especially the younger players' – Esposito, Rossi and Pasquato – eagerness to do well when they came on in the second half.
"There were mistakes, yes; I'll have to show the lads some of these situations because we don't usually let in goals like that. On the whole we played a good game, though, and I really liked the younger players, they showed they possess both talent and personality".
