Ranieri: "It's A Shame, This Was A Game We Should’ve Won"
Thirty minutes to forget, dominated by a surprising Bate Borisov side. An hour of the real Juve, able to draw and then almost win: this is pretty much the review of the away game in Minsk. Manager Ranieri himself didn't differ from this view in his comment at the end of the match:
"Before the kick-off, we knew Bate were going to play this kind of game, yet we were still surprised. The first half-hour was a nightmare and we were unable to stop them. Then we reacted and as soon as we were able to make two passes in a row we came back into the game".
"In the second half, we tried to win, but we never found a way through. These Belarus players deserve to be complimented because they ran enough for 22. It's a shame; this was a match we should’ve won to make a leap in the group standings. In any case, seeing how things turned out, one point is better than nothing".
