Ranieri: "We Played A Perfect Match For 85 Minutes, It Was Impossible To Keep It Up Until The End"

The first of seven matches in 20 days has been won. This intense period has kicked off in the best possible way, with a win against tough opponents Udinese and thanks to an extraordinary performance by the whole team. Claudio Ranieri can be twice as happy because of this.

At the end of the game, with thoughts already turning to Wednesday's match, Juve's Manager had the chance to congratulate his lads:

"We played a great match for 85 minutes, especially in the first part, when we always played a quick passing game and created many chances, opening up their defence. Obviously we couldn't keep up that kind of pace until the end and we had to suffer a little bit before the final whistle".

"I'm pleased because it was like watching last year's Juve, all credit to the new players who have settled in very well".

Wednesday's game? "Concentration comes automatically in the Champions League. We'll face Zenit, who are having a good spell, they're on form, they’re good at defending and quickly going on the counter-attack. That's why we have to be careful, playing our own game and not falling into their trap".
