Merely Hours After Derby…Back On The Field
Merely 12 hours since the victory in the derby, the team immediately pursued its training. The heavy schedule does not leave room for rest and Wednesday is already time to get back on the field. The second mid-week round of the season sees the bianconeri up to face Bologna.
Therefore it’s a Sunday morning spent at Vinovo for the team. The session was attended by general manager Jean-Claude Blanc and sports director Alessio Secco joined by a welcome guest : Slaven Bilic, Croatia’s national coach, whom after having watched the match at the Olimpico, followed the training session at the orders of his colleague Claudio Ranieri.
Back to work, the protagonists of the success against Torino underwent the classic distressing routine with some players working on the field and others at the gym. Normal routine for the rest including Mauro German Camoranesi who is close to returning to the field. Iaquinta was allowed a day of rest due to back ache.
The derby had its aftermath and Paolo De Ceglie, Zdenek Grygera and Hasan Salihamidzic shall not be part of the team to play against the emiliani. The fullback from Val d’Aosta suffered a distortion of the ankle, the Czech defender a contracture in the muscle of his left thigh and the Bosnian midfielder complained of an acute pain to the left Achilles tendon.
