Ranieri: "We’re United And We’ll Pick Ourselves Up"

Back on the pitch: after the break for the national team games, Juventus restart from Naples. Claudio Ranieri explained how and with what spirit during today's press conference:

"We start again and we’re all united, both the team and the Club; we want to react against this difficult period. These can happen during a League season; we're aware we've done less well than we expected, but we are one team that never gives up".

Ranieri had no hesitation answering a question about the season’s aims: "Our objectives are the same ones we set out at the beginning of the year. After all, we only lost one game and drew a few too many others. It is obvious we're not going through a great patch, but we're still in contention in all competitions"

Someone pointed out that the team looks untroubled from the outside. The Manager replied: "If you’re getting this impression it means it’s true, because footballers are not actors and they express how they feel. I can confirm it too: I have never seen such a tight-knit group; they're all really eager to react and try and reach the objectives we set previously». Is he feeling under pressure? «Not from within, absolutely not. I'm the one putting the greatest pressure on myself, because I always want to win"

On Napoli, tomorrow night's opponents at the San Paolo: "We know we're facing an excellent team, who are going through a good patch, thanks also to the home games that have raised their self-esteem and their conviction".
