Blanc: "Buffon Absolutely Not For Sale"
A day after the presentation of the new stadium, Jean-Claude Blanc is clearly satisfied but, as he confirmed with Juventus general, he will not be sitting pretty:
"It was a really great feeling. I think it was a high-level presentation, as Juventus deserves. The feed-back received was very positive and so it has been a great energy boost. As from this morning we were back to work to assure that we will be able to play in our own stadium in just over 1000 days".
Attention is shifted to the encounter with Inter: "It is important to look at this match with the same spirit with which we looked at the future yesterday and take the positive energy to best prepare the match against Inter".
"I think the players are already thinking of the match against Inter, but having participated in yesterday’s event has helped them feel what it means to be part of a fantastic story like the one of Juventus and I obviously hope that this has strengthened the knowledge of being part of a club that not only has a great part but a great future ahead".
A great future is built with great champions and with regards to this Blanc denied the super-offer made for Buffon by Manchester City:
"Gigi is not for sale at all costs, he is priceless and besides there is no deal, there has never been any contact between the two clubs and there has never been an offer for Buffon by Manchester City. There is no truth in these rumours. I can rest the mind of all our supporters that Gigi will go on playing for us for many years to come and will play in the new Juventus home in the 2011/12 season".
"I am surprised how this sort of news always emerges just before a big match but in the world of football everything is possible".
