Amauri And Manninger: "Juve: What A Feeling!"
Two new faces and two strong points for Juventus. The first, Manninger, called to substitute Buffon, the best goalkeeper in the world, managed to stop him being missed. The other, Amauri, in the absence of Trezeguet, the best foreign striker in the history of Juventus, became the primary striking terminal of Juventus, scoring aplenty, allowing the team to remain in the race on all fronts.
Their 2008 was one full of satisfaction and emotion: "I remember two things with great joy – explained the goalkeeper to Juventus Channel – the end of the championship with Siena and signing for Juventus". "Beating Juventus for the first time and then joining the bianconeri – echoes the striker – That was the best moment this year".
The adventure at Juventus for both the players began a few months ago and both were struck by the atmosphere they found in Turin: "I arrived here four months ago – recalls Manninger – and I immediately saw a united group and this, I think, is the strength of our team".
"From the outside everybody knows it is an extraordinary club – proceeds Amauri – but when you see it from the inside it is so even more".
Both are extremely positive with regards to the new year:
"I expect consistency from 2009 – explains Alex – personal improvement and winning something. This is why we are here at Juventus". "That it is even better then 2008 – adds the striker –that’s what we all hope for".
Speaking outside football, the thing to strike both most out of current affairs for 2008 was the following:
"The world economic crisis I think impressed everyone", says Amauri. Manninger agrees: "There are people who have been saving for the last 40 years only to find themselves with nothing. I feel sorry, because in moments like this one can see that the world is not very secure".
