Camoranesi And Sissoko, Class And Power!
Class and power, fantasy and solidity: Mauro Camoranesi and Momo Sissoko are two pillars of the Juventus midfield but lived different situations this season. Momo is one of the most utilized players by Ranieri while Mauro, due to various injuries, has not yet managed to play with consistency.
It is therefore logical that the most exciting moment of 2008 for the world champion dates back to the last championship: "Surely it was the victory in Milan against Inter", he answered without any hesitation at the microphones of Juventus Channel. Momo played that match, however to him the sensations experienced at the Bernabeu remain unique: "The most exciting match was the one against Real Madrid, a very important victory for us all".
They both agree on the progress made by Juventus during the last part of the year: "We improved thanks to the arrival of five or six players of international level" is Mauro’s opinion who is seconded by the words of the player from Mali: "This year we have a really great team. Both in the dressing-rooms and on the field there is great unity of intent".
What Camoranesi expects from the new year is a bit more luck: "I hope to achieve consistency and to have few injuries", while Momo speaks of the team’s objectives: "I hope to win something: Champions League or championship. It would be extraordinary".
Beyond football, Camporanesi will remember Beijing most of all: "Throughout the year there were a lot of events. From the sports side I would say the Olympics, a beautiful event to follow". Momo, on the other hand, is tied to a more personal feeling: "I opened an orphanage in Mali and this touched me deeply. It was such a great feeling".
