Juventus To Meet Chelsea In The Champions League

On the eve of the draws goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon said that he would rather avoid English teams. Unfortunately, his wish was not granted. In fact following the draws of the next round of the Champions League in Nyon on Friday, Juventus were drawn to play against last year’s runner-up : Chelsea.

A strange coincidence is the fact that all the Italian teams were drawn against English ones, that is Inter will be playing Manchester United and Roma will meet Arsenal.

Below is the complete table of draws:

Chelsea vs Juventus
Villareal vs Panathinaikos
Sporting Lisbon vs Bayern Munich
Atletico Madrid vs Porto
Lyon vs Barcelona
Real Madrid vs Liverpool
Arsenal vs Roma
Inter vs Manchester United

The first legs of the direct-elimination stage will be played on the 24th and 25th of February with the return being played on the 10th and 11th of March.
