Friendly In Messina On The 6th Of January
After the victory in Bergamo Juventus broke-up for holidays. The players and staff are on a well deserved rest to re-charge their batteries in view of the return of the championship and a very busy month of January.
The team is on holiday as from today up to the 30th of December when they will meet again in Vinovo to return to training. There are no plans for winter retreats. Ranieri will work with the team in Vinovo. On the 6th of January the team will fly to Messina for a de luxe friendly against French side Monaco (the time is still to be decided).
Monaco who since 2007 have been coached by ex-Brazilian player Ricardo Gomes is currently in the middle of the Ligue 1 table, 14th with 23 points together with Caen.
The team includes many players who are well known in Italy such as goalkeeper Flavio Roma (ex Piacenza), Croatian defender Dario Simic (ex Inter and Milan) e Argentine fullback Leandro Cufré (ex Roma). The second goalkeeper is Yohann Thuram-Ulien, the cousin of ex-Juventus defender Lilian Thuram. This is his first season in Ligue 1 .
