Molinaro: "2008: A Year To Remember"
Another bit of effort and another year can be archived. 2008 will surely be a year to remember, a very positive one for Juventus, capable of achieving the third place in the Serie A, qualify and win the group in the Champions League.
The end of the year is the time to look at the achievements and the table like that of the number of presences on the field, for instance. The top spot here goes to Alessandro Del Piero with 44, a clear sign that the captain had an excellent 12 months during which he was also crowned Serie A top-scorer.
With a look at the number of minutes played however, one discovers that the player with the greatest number of minutes spent on the field was Cristian Molinaro with 3604 minutes. This is definitely very important information for the defender, who expressed himself by saying:
"I am happy. It is something that pleases me. It means that I played with a certain consistency and that I won the faith of the coach, my mates and the club".
Thus ends a memorable year for Cristian. Many presences with Juventus, the debut in the Champions League, many words of praise, the renewal of his contract, the goal reached a week ago, the 100 presences in the Serie A:
"2008 was a year to remember, a confirmation of my development but which must only represent another point of departure. I am happy with what I managed to achieve and am now awaiting 2009 full of more satisfactions and perhaps the first important victory of my career".
However, before thinking of the New year and the Christmas festivities, Juventus will travel to Bergamo for what has always proven a difficult away match. Molinaro however is positive:
"We are preparing very well to avoid false steps. We must avoid thinking of having the luggage ready for our holidays. These matches require more of a psychological training rather then a physical one. We must try to repeat last year’s perfect match. We were clever to score early and then control the match. We must win and perhaps hope for a present by my friends at Siena".
