Ranieri: "It’s A Match Open To Any Result"
There is great anticipation for the match on Sunday night. Juventus-Milan is a match that promises to be spectacular with great protagonists on both sides. Claudio Ranieri has no doubt with regards to the value of this encounter which Shevchenko defined as “the true Italian derby”:
"We must not forget that Milan are the club world champions, me are about to play against a team with the capital T. this is a very important match, as was the match against Inter, because they are the two teams who expect to win the scudetto".
"Last year there were 5 goals scored, but this does not mean that this will be repeated. Perhaps this year the match will be very tactical with an only goal to decide. I don’t know how it will end up but I expect a very open match even with regards to the result. It would obviously make us very happy if we were to bring home the three points"
The coach was asked whether who wins the match would be the real anti-Inter, if there is any hope of catching up with the leaders:
"The best thing about our championship is that nothing is won until mathematics say so. It is true that Inter are pushing hard, obtaining a good margin. Just like with cyclists what is important is that somebody follows them closely. I think that both Juve and Milan are the anti-Inter, more over the more there are the more interesting it will be"
A few names with regards to who will be present or absent: "Camoranesi will not make it. Sissoko has recovered from a day-long influenza attack. Salihamidzic is amongst the cal-ups and there will also be Zanetti who returned during the Champions League match".
"I don’t know if there will be Kakà, but I think that for one to miss such matches he must be in a very bad state and therefore I wouldn’t be surprised if I see him come out of the dressing rooms. I am sorry that Gattuso will have to miss the match due to injury rather then disqualification. I wish him a speedy recovery".
"Ronaldinho? He is one of those players who make the ticket fee worth it. He performs magic that illuminates such nights. But Milan have also other champions and we must be clever enough to switch off the central supply".
