Luca Banti will be the referee for Juventus-Cagliari, match valid for the third match day of the second round. The referee from Livorno will meet the bianconeri for the third time this season with the previous two matches being comforting.
Banti controlled the match against Chievo in Verona which ended with a 2-0 result in favour of Ranieri’s team and the 3-0 victory against Catania in the Coppa Italia. Even the overall statistics are extremely positive: out of 7 matches refereed by Banti, Juventus won every single one.
The previous matches in which he refereed Cagliari ended in 1 draw, 4 victories and 4 defeats with the last two ending 1-0 during this championship: at the Olimpico against Torino and at home to Palermo.
On Saturday night Banti will be assisted by Carretta and Carrer. The fourth official will be Mazzoleni.
