After having accompanied many of the last training sessions of last year, the snow was also present during the first training session of 2009.
The Juventus Center was covered in white and it took quite some work to get the fields ready for the team to get down to work seriously right from the start. After having spent new year’s day at home, the bianconeri returned to work. Claudio Ranieri was able to greet back Camoranesi, Tiago and Knezevic, the latest to have recovered. The only absentee was Zebina who should be back in the coming weeks.
The Italo-Argentinian and the Portuguese worked with the rest of the team. The Croatian defender, on the other hand, was involved in a gym session just like Trezeguet who had a different session on the field.
2009 for the bianconeri therefore has officially begun. The schedule foresees two morning sessions on Sunday 4th and Monday 5th. Tuesday 6th, the day of the Epiphany the team will fly to Messina for a friendly match against French side Monaco.
This should serve as a tasty appetizer just before the return to official matches. The first of these is the one against Siena on the 11th of January at the Olimpico followed by another home match against Catania valid for the Coppa Italia on Wednesday 14th January. These two matches will be followed by the away match in Rome against Lazio which will bring the first round of the Serie A to an end.
