Primavera, 1-1 Against Sassuolo
Juventus Primavera only manage a 1-1 draw against Sassuolo but maintain the solitary top spot of the table following Sampdoria’s 1-0 defeat away to Empoli.
Having to do without the injured Castiglia, Yago, Duravia and Bamba as well as Ariaudo called-up with first team, the bianconeri’s formation saw Daud’r return after a long absence and Ekdal who was left for Maddaloni by Ranieri.
After a first half in which Juventus dominated the match but did not manage to open the score, the second half saw the guests going ahead following a dangerous counter-attack. The bianconeri reacted and managed to equalize 8 minutes later thanks to Ciro Immobile who put the ball at the back of the net following a great assist by Esposito.
The match did not offer any particular emotions: Juventus tried to score the winner from a free-kick but Curcio did not manage to find the goal and the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Maddaloni’s boys will now be back in action on Wednesday when they will host Empoli in Vinovo in a match which had been postponed and which is valid for the 8th match day of the championship.
