Del Piero, From Chelsea To U2: "We Can Do It"

After having left his mark at the Santiago Bernabeu, Alessandro Del Piero was about to do the same at Stamford Bridge.

It was a miracle by Cech that denied the captain the joy of a beautiful and important goal. The initial 1-0 stayed on till the end and the bianconeri will be forced to make up for it in Turin.

With the result put aside for a while, it is still a night to remember for Del Piero due to the welcome shown by the people and a special meeting at the end of the match: a complete U2 including Bono and The Edge visited the dressing rooms to say hello to the bianconeri.

"We played a good match – commented Alex – even better then Chelsea but this is just a slim consolation. In Turin we will have to do something more to turn round this result. They are a good team and showed this tonight too but we have all the chances to make it and go through to the next round".
