Fine-Tuning At Stamford Bridge
The team underwent an evening fine-tuning training session at Stamford Bridge. After a warm-up, the players underwent tactical exercises to iron out the last details in view of the match against Chelsea.
Before the Juventus press conference it was the turn of Chelsea who will not be able to count on Portuguese defender Carvalho who was forced to stop due to a muscular problem. Hiddink did not hold back the compliments for Juventus and Claudio Ranieri who he called a “gentleman coach”. Hiddink declared:
"I would have preferred to have more time to prepare this match but it was not possible. I don not want to look for alibis. Juventus? It is a great team but unfortunately I didn’t have the occasion of watching it neither live nor on TV".
