"Well Done Boys!": The Compliments Form The Administration
The celebrations at Viareggio have just begun and the first comments came punctually. Satisfaction and compliments are coming by the dozen for Massimiliano Maddaloni and his splendid boys who were capable of bringing to Turin the 6th trophy.
The first comments came from Torino from president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli: "It is an extremely significant victory that confirms the quality of our youngsters who managed to win the Viareggio tournament after three years. Now we hope they can repeat the streak of victories between 2003 and 2005".
"It is a result that comes as a reward for the great work done by Secco, Castagnini, Ferrara, Rampulla and Maddaloni and that reinforces the strong will of the club to invest on youngsters like Daud whom I would like to compliment for the top-scorer title. Let us hope that this success is a god omen even for the first team".
With regards to the first team directly from Turin come the comments of Claudio Ranieri. Awaiting the departure for London, the coach watched the match at home observing the young players, some of which have already formed part of his group:
"It was a beautiful match. I would like to send my compliments to Maddaloni and to the boys who won by fielding will and technique".
Besides Marcello Lippi, the match was also watched by Renzo Castagnini and Gian Paolo Montali.
The chief scout: "I was lucky enough to see all the matches of the primavera here at Viareggio. They were improving from match to match and with great consistency. I would like to praise the work of Ciro Ferrara who worked hard and did an excellent job and also the coach who has managed to form a strong team. Today Juventus were extraordinary. After having seen 5 or 6 matches I didn’t think we would have had this energy but they were perfect, exceptional".
The same concept was voiced by the administration member: "In order to obtain such victories three components are necessary, that is the administration, the players and the coach. Today’s triumph is a reason for great pride for Juventus and the sign that it is not only made up of the first team but also of an important youth nursery".
