Zebina: "I Am Available"
The day after he made his return on the field with the Primavera, the Frenchman watched the Dsquared² fashion show at Milano Moda together with Legrottaglie: "I am ready. I would like to play part of the derby".
Piece after piece, Claudio Ranieri is getting back all the team’s components in view of a long and busy end to the season. After having welcomed back Buffon, Trezeguet, Poulsen and Salihamidzic, the coach now also has Jonathan Zebina at his disposal.
The defender is fully-recovered following the operation to the left Achilles tendon which he underwent in November and yesterday played for 75 minutes with the Primavera in their big match against Sampdoria.
"For me it is the beginning of a new career" he declared after the match, confirming such a statement the day after. The Frenchman watched the Dsquared² (company which sponsors the suits for Juventus) fashion show as part of the “Milano Moda Donna 09” together with Legrottaglie.
"For me it was like playing in the final of the World Cup – commented Zebina – I re-experienced the sensations which I had not felt for quite a while. I am well and am available for call-up, not as from tomorrow’s Coppa Italia match, but I hope for the next. Managing to play for a few minutes in the derby would be a reward for all the sacrifices I made in the past months. From now up to the end of the season we have many important matches not only the one against Chelsea next Wednesday".
Many matches await the bianconeri especially in the championship. Juventus are still taking the championship very seriously feeling sure that it is not over yet. Following a weekend in which the bianconeri managed to reduce the margin from Inter by two points (reducing it to 7) the hope is even greater.
This is what Nicola Legrottaglie thinks: "Yes I watched the match last night. The fact that Inter still managed not to lose notwithstanding the double disadvantage confirms they are a great team. Even in the past title races have been re-opened notwithstanding a 9 point margin. This is why we must continue to believe in it right till the end with many direct encounters still to be played. Our aim is to at least obtain the same number of points as in the first round".
