Giovinco: "A Goal For Abruzzo"
"If I score against Genoa I will dedicate the goal to the victims of the Abruzzo earthquake. In the dressing rooms we have speaking a lot of what happened and we try to do something tangible to be even closer to the persons struck by this tragedy".
Sebastian Giovinco, during Filo Diretto on Juventus Channel, dedicated a special thought to the earthquake victims. The midfielder was very much struck by what happened and expressed all his solidarity towards the victims. Getting back to football Giovinco returned to the match against Chievo, not trying to hide any mistakes made:
"Last Sunday we took the wrong approach to the match, leaving the first half to Chievo and they were clever enough to take advantage. We didn’t underestimate the opponents and neither were we thinking of the next matches. Maybe we paid a bit for the fact that we returned to play in the afternoon after so many evening matches. It is a small detail which can make a difference when you are used to other rhythms. It is no wonder that we found difficulties in other afternoon matches".
Seeing it from this angle it is good that the match against Genoa will be played in the evening. The bianconeri on Saturday will be meeting a team enthusiastic about the fact that they can continue pursuing the fourth place, a roaring stadium and a number of former players ranging from Palladino to Criscito who will have even more motivation:
"But the motivation when playing against Juventus is great for anyone irrelevantly if he is a former player or not. Genoa is an excellent team and we will have to give the maximum from the first minute of the match".
