Ranieri: "A Reaction Is Necessary"
It’s a National Mourning day, to the memory of the victims of Abruzzo’s earthquake. A tragedy that shook all of us, including the world of soccer that decided to act in various ways.
"Of course we will do something too – Ranieri says – Maybe it’s not so right to play, anyway, but it’s something not up to us".
Then he speaks about soccer, but not immediately about the one on the pitch, considering that journalists tease the white&black trainer concerning an alleged dinner between the CEO Jean-Claude Blanc and Marcello Lippi. They say this could mean the trainer from Viareggio is coming back to the black & white bench, but Ranieri answers:
"I think there’s nothing so wrong in going to dinner together. If it was so, I don’t see anything strange in this".
Finally he speaks about Genoa and about a Juventus that, back from its half stumble with Chievo, is ready to restart, but the opponent is not one of most affordable:
"We are going through a good period, so I’m expecting a positive reaction. Our team is very competitive, a team that after any stumble always gives important answers. Be careful of Genoa, they play a good soccer, we have to play a great match, to win".
An important challenge "most of all for ourselves", but without forgetting the race within Inter "because – Ranieri endorses – we won’t give up till the end. Not always the strongest team wins, there are many variants. We keep on fighting, the minimum target is second place. Let’s go on like that, and let’s leave the results to the end".
