A 14 Year Long “Tricolore” Joy
In the diary of Juventus the 21st of May is one of those days which has by right become unforgettable. This is very much thanks to 1995, the year in which Juventus returned to feeling the joy that had been for a long time forgotten.
The 21st of May 1995 was the day of the victory of the 23rd Scudetto, the first of the so called “Lippi era”. The 4-0 victory against Parma in a sold-out Delle Alpi brought a championship dominated by the bianconeri to an end. The goals were scored by Ravanelli (twice), Vialli and Deschamps on the last day of Roberto Baggio as a Juventus player.
It was of great satisfaction for all the Juventus supporters but also for or all the protagonists of that great feat (who a few days before had also won the Coppa Italia). Of these protagonists three are still part of the current first team: Del Piero as player and Ferrara and Rampulla as members of the technical staff.
