The Berretti season started in the best of ways possible with the team leaving its mark, In peveragno, a village in Cuneo where the team is on camp since Monday, Schincaglia’s team obtained a convincing victory. The young bianconeri beat Ventimiglia, a team of the Eccelenza championship 5-1 thanks to goals by Schena, Arena, Mirimin, Giordano (penalty) and Di Dio.
Apart from the result, it was a good start which immediately convinced Maurizio Schincaglia: «I am very satisfied with the way things are going up to now. The boys played well and showed a great will to do well. They all worked with great dedication during this week and today’s success gives us a further charge to continue on our way. I am hopeful for the season which is coming up and I am convinced of having a competitive group which will do well».
The Berretti will be spending a few more days in Valle Pesio. On Wednesday, they will play their second match against Bra.
Attention now shifts to the Primavera. Tomorrow, Sunday 9th August, the team will play their third and last test before the return to Turin. In Chiusa Pesio (at 17:00hrs) the triangular tournament against Cuneo and Albese will take place.
