Juventus have received with satisfaction the sentence of absolution pronounced by the Turin Tribunal with regards to the current procedures on balance fraud. Thanks to the defensive strategy of all of the accused forwarded in recent years, the tribunal recognized the correctness of the club’s behavior.
The surveys deposited by the legal aides of Juventus – which supported the thesis according to which the evaluation of players cannot be established on the basis of “listings” or other parameters which aren’t actual to the transfer market – and the defensive memories of all of the accused have therefore allowed judge Dante Cibinel to acquit the club and its former administrators Antonio Giraudo, Luciano Moggi and Roberto Bettega, for not having committed the facts they were accused of.
Finally, Juventus wanted to clarify that it never disassociated itself from the defensive activities of all of the accused but limited itself to defining together with the Procura della Repubblica di Torino a congruent sum for the administrative violations which might have eventually been recognized as the club’s responsibility.
