Juventus - Udinese 1-0
A careful and concrete Juventus wins deservedly vs. Udinese for 1-0 thanks to Fabio Grosso’s goal. The bianconeri, always leading the match, takes three points home.
A fought match since the beginning with Juventus proposing with a constant attack, and Udinese exploiting the few gaps left by the bianconeri, to be dangerous. The first real occasion to score of the match is on Diego’s feet who, at minute 4’ tries a strong kick from a distance, but opponent goalkeeper is ready.
Ferrara’s team once again ahead at minute 12’ with Camoranesi crossing for Giovinco, whose conclusion is blocked with no difficulties by Handanovic. Juventus keeps on attacking, while Udinese goes on sporadically and Buffon is quite never invoked.
The Bianconeri close to the goal at minute 37’, when Camoranesi serves Amauri who, face to face with the goalkeeper, kicks but the opponents’ extreme defender saves. Two minutes form the end, D’Agostino serves Isla who scores, but the referee voids for offside.
Final thrill for the Udinese defense with Diego toward the goal, which is anticipated by Handanovic.
Second half starts with the same compositions, and at minute 5’ Juventus scores and goes ahead: cross in the area by Caceres from the right for Grosso, who, under the goal, kicks with his left and scores 1-0. A minute later Ferrara makes two substitutions: Sissoko for Felipe Melo and the much applauded Del Piero for Giovinco.
Ferrara’s team controls the advantage, attacks and becomes dangerous at minute 19’ by a good action that starts by a Grosso’s cross saved by Handanovic, the ball to Sissoko whose kick from a distance ends up too high. At half of second time, Udinese is dangerous by a pair of downhill in the bianconera area.
On one occasion, very good is Chiellini’s intervention, among the best players, to send the ball away, at minute 20’ a good reject by Buffon’s foot, on Floro Flores’ kick.
In the match final phase, few emotions and most of all by Juventus. Two positioned kicks by Del Piero and Diego intercepted by Handanovic, an almost auto-goal by Basta who anticipates by head Camoranesi and nearly mocks his own goalkeeper, and a kick by Diego, before leaving place to De Ceglie, who does not create difficulties to opponents’ number one.
A thrill in extra-time in Juventus area with Udinese trying to nab in extremis a draw, but with no result.
