Viareggio, On With Resounding Success
The two days dedicated to the matches between Juventus and Livorno started in the best of manners. While awaiting the Serie A match on Saturday night, the Primavera completed its task and beat the amaranto in the Viareggio Cup.
Bruni’s boys obtained an important victory in Pistoia (4-0, two goals by Fischnaller and one each by Libertazzi and Belcastro), who went through to the next round with flying colours thanks to 3 victories and a score of 11 goals scored and none conceded. The feat is a great one even on a statistical level, being the 100th victory in the Coppa Carnevale.
The current champions made it through to the final 16 with ease, as second best first team of Group A (behind Empoli due to goal difference) and will have to wait until Monday to know who they will be playing against on Tuesday.
In the mean time Mr. Bruni has all the reason to be satisfied with the performance of the team, notwithstanding the many changes and the rainfall throughout the match.
