The first friendly match of the season, played at the stadio Pineta in Pinzolo in front of a good public, ended 6-0 for the bianconeri. The first to score was Diego, then Pasquato, two goals by Trezeguet and in the second half Grosso and Grygera. Due to a heavy rain fall the match ended 10 minutes early.
Del Neri fielded a 4-4-2 formation with Storari in goal, Motta, Legrottaglie, Alcibiade and De Ceglie in defence, a midfield made up of Lanzafame, Ekdal, Marrone and Pasquato with Trezeguet and Diego in attack.
The Brazilian, one of the most lively players on the field, scored the first goal of the season with a beautiful left footed shot on the 16th minute and was also dangerous on another couple of occasions (9th and 32nd minutes), two free-kicks (3rd and 27th minute) and a header in the closing minutes. Another protagonist in the first half was Trezeguet who scored twice thanks to two headers, first from an assist by Lanzafame on the 29th and then from a cross by De Ceglie on the 36th.
The other goal for the bianconeri was scored by Pasquato on the 19th. Storari had little to do but showed his skills with a save on the 12th minute and a couple of exits. The first half ended on a 4-0 result.
In the second half Del Neri brought on Grygera, Ferrero, Grosso, Buchel, Boniperti and Amauri while the Rappresentativa Dilettanti Trentino made 10 changes with all those on the bench fielded. The fifth goal for Juventus was scored on the 48th minute by Grosso from a free-kick. On the 62nd Del Neri once again fielded Pasquato and Diego and the latter created the 6-0 goal froma cross headed by Grygera. After some more action a heavy rainfall forced the referee to end the match 10 minutes early.
