About 4,000 people followed the training session of Juventus held this afternoon at the Stadio Comunale in Chiusa Pesio. The presence of the bianconeri in the Cuneo valleys was a real feat with music, sbandieratori and obviously sport as ingredients.
The team was missing the Italian internationals who upon returning from London after the match against Ivory Coast worked in Vinovo but the session was still a worthy show: after a warm-up and stretching exercises, the team took part in ball control exercises between cones and a series of tight exchages and shots on goal. Afterwards the bianconeri took part ina 7-a-side mini-match on a reduced field.
Sporting white jerseys were Manninger, Ferrero, Grosso, Lanzafame, Melo, Diego and Trezeguet while in red bibs were Storari, Grygera, De Ceglie, Salihamidzic, Sissoko, Del Piero and Martinez. The Uruguay national, at the end of the first half was forced to leave the field out of precaution following the symptoms of a muscle strain to both thighs and was substituted by field assistant D’Angelo. The match ended on a 6-3 result for the whites with Trezeguet scoring a hat-trick.
At the end of the session, the players thanked those present by stopping at the sidelines and signing hundreds of autographs to the enthusiasm of the supporters.
