Krasic: "Juve Was My Only Wish"
"I’m so glad to have joined Juventus. It’s a great honour and reason of satisfaction".
These are the first words spent by Milos Krasic wearing Juventus’ colours. The Serbian midfielder has been officially introduced during this morning press conference at Media Center in Vinovo. He immediately underlined his strong will to be impressive in his new team: "I will do everything I can for getting a first-choice player role. I know I’ve also been a quite considerable expense, therefore I have to prove my merit, even if our coach will choose, of course".
He would have liked the 17 on his team jersey but, but as it is Trezeguet’s number, he … added a ten and will thus show the 27.
After a long negotiation, Krasic’s dream has came true: "More than two months ago, I had some first contacts with Juve and I’ve always believed to join them. A negotiation may even fall through, but I’ve never been feared about it. I received some proposals by Manchester City, Fenerbache and other teams, but when I knew about the opportunity to join Juventus, I preferred to wait. The Italian championship is one of the best worldwide, but I’m not afraid, I only want to demonstrate that Juventus made the right choice, and I promise to do my best to all supporters".
Milos has not played official matches yet, but his condition is however good: "I’m almost at 100%, a further week of training should be enough. Have I already seen Juve matches? Several times last year, but not yet during these pre-championship appointments".
Krasic then confirms to be able to cover both flanks: "During the recent years, I especially played at right, but I’m able to cover the left side too". Finally, the comparison with Nedved: "Well, I’m really honoured. Nedved won the European Footballer of the Year award, and he was one of the best players all over the world. I will do all my best to reach his level".
