With the first match day having been archived, the Serie A championship is ready for a break to make space for the international matches. A few months after the end of the World Cup 2010 in South Africa, it is already time to think of the 2012 European Championships, the final phase of which will be played in Poland and the Ukraine.
For the first qualifying matches on schedule between Friday 3rd and Wednesday 7th September, 5 Juventus players have been called-up, 4 of which with Cesare Prandelli’s Italy. A fifth azzurro, Claudio Marchisio, returned home after the medical tests.
Still with the Italian coach are Bonucci, Chiellini, Pepe and Quagliarella. The azzurri will be playing in Tallinn on Friday night against Estonia and on Tuesday 7th September in Florence against the Faroe Islands.
The other bianconero who will be absent is Milos Krasic who was called-up by Serbia who will be playing in the same group as Italy. The Serbian side will be playing away against Faroe Islands on Friday and in Belgrade against Slovenia on Tuesday 7th.
Del Neri will get back to work on Wednesday in the absence of these players.
Three Primavera players will also be involved in international matches. Ferrero and Giannetti were called-up by the Under 20 side for the match on September 6th against Poland (“Four Nations Tournament”). Libertazzi is in Rome for the stage (until Wednesday) with the Under 19 side.
