Marotta: "Good Approach To The Match. Time Is Necessary To Improve."
"We are disappointed with the result seeing that we managed to equalize and scored the lead twice, but we have to respect the opponents who showed they are an excellent team". The Director General for Sport Affairs Goiuseppe Marotta looked at the improvements shown by Juventus against Sampdoria and by doing so put aside the disappointment for the victory which escaped the team:
"Six out of the 11 players on the field today were new and therefore it is obvious that they need time to adapt and this means we can only improve. The fact that we managed to score is a sign of wellbeing. Certainly, we must try to avoid conceding goals. Time and patience will be needed by the supporters because a team cannot be built in two months but the mentality is right. There was commitment and a good approach to the match".
With regards to the objectives of the bianconeri for this season, Marotta declared: "In order to make any predictions with regards to the championship we will have to wait for at least another 5 or 6 matches. We are still at the beginning and all the team encounter normal difficulties perhaps with the exception of Sampdoria who have 4 points in the table. For us it will be obligatory to qualify for the Champions League".
