Pepe: "It’s A Bad Moment. We Must Improve."
"Let us hope that luck turns round, even because the third goal conceded yesterday against Lech Poznan from over 30 metres at the end of the match, says a lot about the moment we are going through". Simone Pepe, on Sky Sport 24, confirmed his conviction in the means of Juventus, who must continue improving but who have, notwithstanding this, showed a great capability to react in the most recent matches:
"The atmosphere is serene, in the sense that we are conscious of not having given great performances but also of having managed to come back both against Sampdoria as well as against Lech Poznan, giving a show of strength on both occasions. Time is needed to assemble the mechanisms and we are working hard to try and reach the level the coach wants as soon as possible".
In fact, even though the preparation became earlier, the Juve group was formed throughout the summer: "Some started to work at the beginning of July, the internationals joined the team later, others joined at the end of August and all this has left its effect. We’re suffering too much in defence? We must improve as a team, because, when 3 goals are conceded, the fault is not only of the defence but even of the midfield and the attack. In the defensive phase you can leave one man to the opponents but all the others must cover".
