"My physical condition is improving and I began undergoing tests to see how my ankle reacts. The injury was a bad one but less serious then we thought initially. I was lucky because I could have hurt badly. Tomorrow I will undergo the final tests and then we will see what is to be done".
Amauri, as guest of Filo Diretto on Juventus Channel, reassured the Juventus supporters with regards to his state of health. The striker is continuing with his recovery programme and wants to get back on the field to help the team during such a busy period. Yesterday he watched his mates on TV against Manchester City and was left with a good impression:
"Juve played a great match. At the end of the day we just missed out on a victory and when Ale hit the post I was sure I saw the ball enter...It is not easy to play like that in Manchester. They have the best defence in the Premier League and they are an excellent team. We suffered too and this is nornmal but at the end of ita ll we showed good signs".
Attention then shifted to the match against Inter on Sunday: "The President invited the supporters to stay serene and this is right because it is a very heartfelt match by the public but also by us players. He is always close to us. He is very often here in Vinovo and his closeness helps us to feel even stronger"

"The match against Inter is the Derby of Italy and we hope to do well, knowing we have the possibility. Inter is strong, they only changed the coach and Benitez is a great coach. At the moment Eto’o is making the difference and in the Champions League they played a great match but they are not unbeatable. I will do my best to be on the field because it is a match I wouldn’t like to miss. If it is not possible I will be supporting my team mates wholeheartedly".
With regards to the objectives of Juventus for the season, Amauri did not commit himslef but was clear that he believes in the possibility of having a victorious season: "We have the players to aim for something important and up to now everything is still open. We will see one match after a time. I hope we win something as soon as possible to wear on the Juve jersey. There are 3 trophies up for grabs and I hope that we manage to get one at least".
