Del Neri: "Giving The Maximum With Intensity And Will"
Luigi Del Neri prepared the match at the San Siro with great serenity, conscious of the fact that his team knows how to face this type of matches. The match against Manchetser was useful in this sense:
"We must retrieve energy from it – he said – because we showed that we can hold against other teams of a high level. The important thing is not to change this conviction into presumption. The lesson in Manchester was that if we field personality, the team emerges anyway as victorious".
An important performance will be necessary by his lads at the San Siro. Del Neri summarized what he expects from his team by saying:
"The great intensity could be an important factor in this match. In the last few weeks, we played many matches, facing teams that make intensity their greatest quality and we held well and therefore the physical condition is optimal but it is clear that these matches depend also on the psychological factor. We must give the maximum with great intensity and will".
When asked whether he would agree to a draw on the eve of the match, Del Neri answered: "I would never agree to a draw". With regards to the formation, the Juve coach did not reveal anything:
"It depends on the players’ conditions"), while when asked specifically about Amauri and the possibility of fielding, he answered: "If he is well, he’ll play".
