(Inter - Juventus 0-0) A Precious Point From A Great Match At The San Siro
Del Neri fielded the usual 4-4-2 formation with Iaquinta and Quagliarella in the attack and Aquinali and Marchisio in central midfield.
The detrmination and intensity demanded by the coach were immediately satisfied by the bianconeri on the field. On the 1st minute, A long distance shot by Aquilani is blocked by the defence. One minute later there is a corner for Inter: ball into the area saved well by Storari.
On the 3rd minute a pass by Coutinho towards Sneijder is too long and two minutes later, Felipe Melo stops Coutinho. Corner for Inter after an intevention by Chiellini: ball into the area but the Juve defence clears well.
It is the 8th minute when there is a free-kick for Juve: Aquilani puts the ball into the area but the Inter defence manages to clear with some difficulty. Two minutes later, a beautiful attempt by Iaquinta is stopped by Lucio.
On the 12th minute a Stankovic attempt is saved well by Storari but 1 minute later there is a good through-ball by Quagliarella towards Iaquinta but the Inter defence clears.
The 16th minute sees a free-kick for Inter: Sneijder's shot hits the wall. Two minutes later, a Chivu cross towards Coutinho is too long.
Juve’s determination starts to show its intensity and on the 20th minute Quagliarella passes to Krasic who sees his long distant shot go wide. One minute later, Aquilani passes to Krasic who sees his shot graze the post.
On the 22nd minute there is a corner for Juve: ball into the area and Cordoba puts again out for another corner. From the flag, the ball is put into the area but Chiellini heads wide.
Juve benefir of another corner on the 25th minute after another Krasic cross: Aquilani puts the ball into the area but the defence puts it again beyond the line for another corner. The ball is put into the area but Aquilani is stopped for a foul in attack.
The bainconeri pile up the pressure and on the 31st minute Iaquinta posts home after receiving from Krasic but the goal is disallowed for off-side.
It is the 34th minute when there is a nasty foul on Krasic by Chivu who is shown a yellow card. Free-kick for Juve: Cesar does not manage to save, Krasic tries a shot at goal but the defence clears.
On the 38th minute, Eto'o puts a ball into the Juve area but Chiellini heads away. Seconds later, Qualgiarella puts a ball towards Iaquinta but Cordoba manages to intercept. On the 39th minute, Aquilani tries putting a ball towards Iaquinta but it is not precise enough.
The 40th minute sees a Cambiasso attempt go high over the bar. One minute later there is a great bit of action between De Ceglie and Iaquinta but the last touch by the striker is not accurate enough.
On the 42nd minute a Sneijder header goes high over the bar. One minute later, a long distance shot by Quagliarella is saved by Cesar.
The referee allots 2 minutes of stoppage time but the only bit of action before the end of the half sees a Milito shot go wide.
Del Neri makes his first substitution before the start of the second half: Motta comes on for De Ceglie.
Inter try to put pressure on the bianconeri but the Juve defence is in great shape. On the 1st minute, Chiellini clears into corner on a Coutinho attempt. Two minutes later, Quagliarella is fouled by Lucio as he tries to puta ball through to Krasic.
On the 4th minute, a long distance attempt by Quagliarella is saved by the keeper. One minute later, a first-timer by Cambiasso is saved by Storari. Two minutes later, there is a free-kick for Inter: Sneijder's attempt goes wide.
The 9th minute sees a free-kick for Juve: Melo's attempt hits the wall. One minute later, a Krasic cross is just missed by Iaquinta.
It is the 11th minute when there is a corner for Inter: the Juve defence clears. Two minutes later, there is a corner for Inter: ball into the Juve area headed away by Cheillini.
On the 14th minute, there is great play by Krasic who runs past a number of defenders and shoots with the defence resorting to a corner. From the flag the ball is put into the area but Quagliarella is offisde.
It is the 16th minute when there is a corner for Inter after Storari saves on a dangerous Sneijder shot: ball into the area clared by the Juve defence once again into corner. From the flag the ball towards Coutinho is cleared by Bonucci.
Del Piero comes on for Iaquinta on the 19th minute. One minute later, a Melo shot goes just wide.
The 21st minute sees a free-kick for Inter: dangerous Sneijder execution saved with a beautiful parry by Storari. One minute later, there is a beautiful pass by Aquilani towards Quagliarella who tries putting a ball into the centre but Lucio clears.
On the 23rd minute there is a corner for Juve after Cesar is forced to save on a good Quagliarella attempt. Another corner for Juve comes 2 minutes later: ball into the area but the defence clears.
It is the 26th minute when a long distance shot by Aquilani goes wide. Seconds later, Chiellini intercepts a pass by Milito towards Sneijder. Two minutes later, the Juve defence clear a first time on a Sneijder cross and then another shot by the Dutchman is saved easily by Storari.
On the 29th minute a Del Piero shot from outside the area is saved by Cesar. Seconds later, Chiellini anticipates on an Inter attack.
Milito puts wide from just in front of Storari on the 32nd minute and two minutes later Sissoko comes on for Aquilani.
The 36th minute sees a long distance shot by Del Piero saved by Cesar. Three minutes later, Chiellini stops Milito from shooting as he enters the area. Three minutes later, Quagliarella forces Cesar to put the ball into touch.
On the 45th minute, there is a free-kick for Juve after a foul on Melo: Del Piero's attempt is saved by Cesar. The referee grants 2 minutes of stoppage time and on the first there is a corner for Inter but Storari saves easily.
At the end of the day Juventus played a great match holding Inter and sharing the tally of a match which they played at very high level and pace.
