Working On Set-Pieces

Today’s morning session is just two days before the match against Lecce. Del Neri had a practically complete team with the exception of Buffon and Rinaudo and Traoré. The French defender, this morning, underwent tests with regards to the muscular problem suffered yesterday: it is not a relapse but an inflammation of the stitches. At least a week of progressive recovery will be necessary.

The team, after a warm-up, was busy with passing exercises: before a series of direct exchanges, low balls, first timers and headers, followed by long balls covering most of the field’s width.

Afterwards Del Neri shifted his attention to set-pieces. During this phase of the session Davide Lanzafame suffered a distortion to his left ankle. The player will undergo tests this afternoon and his conditions will be announced tomorrow.

At the end of the session, Del Neri spent time with the defenders to take care of the department’s movements while Piero, Marchisio, Amauri, Quagliarella and Pepe trained on free-kicks with a series of attempts on the goal defended by Manninger. The last part of the session was followed by President Agnelli.
