Del Neri: "We Count On Our Supporters"
About Gianluigi Buffon the first question from the journalists during Del Neri’s press conference on the eve of the match vs. Lecce. Yesterday the goalkeeper has not taken part to the Team’s official photo shooting because he was busy doing physiotherapy and the bianconero trainer confirms his thought:
"Buffon has to do his recovering workout and this is what we all are most interested in. Concerning his yesterday absence, it depends on available time, on the efforts he has to make to recover. After all other players were missing, like Martinez, who is injured, or De Ceglie, who underwent a surgery intervention. Please, let’s not make an International case of it".
More serious is the injured players matters: "Now we won’t have Krasic for 25 days and Legrottaglie for more time than that. It seems that everything is polling against us, also because in this period we’d need to recover energies, while we’ll have to play important matches on Saturdays, like the one vs. Roma".
"We are unlucky, because we have at least ten injured players for trauma. At When we starter, we paid duty for having changed so much, but we worked it out. Now we lost many players, but we want to recover them all, without risking new injuries, so we’ll give them longer time, even thought the many matches".
The good news is about Iaquinta recovery: "We are quite all right in attack. There is Quagliarella and Iaquinta will be available, even if he won’t be able to play from the first minute, considering his long absence".
Del Neri counts a lot on supporters’ support, which, he underlines, never stopped making us feel their affection: "Tomorrow at the stadium, there will be also Juventus’ history’s stars and I hope that, after the due choirs they deserve, supporters keep on staying close to us, like they always did".
Journalists insist in having some explanations concerning the team which will go on the pitch vs. Cesena and Del Neri answers ironically: "It does not take an Einstein to understand that Grosso will play, and even my granddaughter Giulia could guess that. And the same is for Sorensen…He is a very good player, he’s doing well with Primavera. We have faith in younger boys and we are convinced that, in right manners and times, they will be able to give us a helping hand".
Lastly a thought for Cesena: "They are not going through a very good moment concerning gained points and they lost many matches in the last minutes, but they are solid, squared, playing a good soccer and with interesting players like Jmenez. Colucci (disqualified), but I’m sure they will do their best to stay in Serie A".
