The day on which, at the Olimpico, Juventus legends are celebrated, whose names will be written in Juventus new stadium, Juve shines too vs. Cesena, despite not an easy start. Suffering a goal in minute 11’ (Jimenez), the bianconeri catch up already in first half with Del Piero (penalty) and Quagliarella. Then they dominates second half and score also the third goal by Iaquinta for final 3-1.
A difficult start for Del Neri’s team who, after just 11 minutes, suffer a goal from Cesena. In fact, Cesena scores right away with Jimenez who, under the goal, deviates in the net a good by Schelotto (0-1).
The bianconeri immediately start to hunt for draw, with a good and long action in the opponents’ box, which unfortunately ends with no result. Cesena shows off with two conclusions by Giaccherini (15’) and Parolo (18’) the first one on the back of the goal, the second one saved by Storari, and with a kick by Lauro deviated to the corner by Juventus defense.
Juventus address to Aquilani’s and e Del Piero’s distance kicks, the midfielder tries to hit the target at minute 20’, but the goalkeeper sends to the corner, the captain kicks a pair of free kicks. The first one, at minute 19’, is deviated to the corner by the barrier, just like the second one, at minute 29’, starting the draw action. Del Piero in fact kicks from the flag corner, in the box for Bonucci who suffer a foul and the referee decides for a penalty in Juventus favor transformed by the captain (1-1).
During first half last 15 minutes, Del Neri’s team, strong for the draw just achieved, presses with deeper intensity hunting for advantage goal. Del Piero scores at minute 36’, but the referee says it’s offside.

The teams are back on the pitch with unvaried line-ups. During the first minutes to be underlined a pair of actions by new entry Sorensen, at his absolute debut in Juventus, and by Grosso, at his first seasonal match. Primavera’s defender shines on a defensive action at minute 3’, while Grosso at minute 5’ hits by heading on a corner action, but the ball is a little high.
At minute 11’ Del Neri substitutes two players: Sissoko and Del Piero go out, for Felipe Melo and Iaquinta, who proves immediately to be very active, by a heading ending too high (13’) and then by a kick saved by the goalkeeper (17’). Again Juve at minute 19’, with Motta that tries a right kick from a distance, the ball is on the side of the goal defended by Antonioli, and by Grosso who starts from his midfield and tries a kick that goes high.
Juventus is well managing the advantage and does not leave spaces to Cesena, almost never dangerous. Del Neri’s team is attacking and forces Antonioli to oppose first on a kick by Pepe (21’), then on a Quagliarella’s right kick and a Iaquinta’s one, both around half second half. The last substitution for Juve is the one concerning Felipe Melo, who, though just put in, still feels a little physical pain.
