Alessandro is preparing to get on the field against Chelsea in one of two matches which will decide who will go through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Everything is ready at Stamford Bridge, including Juventus who Del Piero believes in:
"We are a great group, a mix of youngsters and experienced players which can be a point of reference for the rest". It is the first time that Alex will be playing in this stadium which, as a local journalist explained is smaller then for example the one in Madrid. "I don’t think – answered Del Piero – that the area is smaller, but I do think that both the result and the qualification will work out in the same manner".
What is certain is that English teams are a hard nut to crack "because– confirms the Juventus captain – they are teams which in the last few years have obtained excellent results and are well equipped to make it to the final stages".
However, even Chelsea will find a very determined opponent. "With our performances in the Italian championship set aside, the Champions League is a different competition which we really want to do well in".
