Mission accomplished for Maddaloni’s team. After the 3-1 in the first leg the bianconeri beat Cagliari even at the Chisola: 4-2 with goals by Immobile, Curcio, Bamba and Vecchione. Roma is next.
It was meant to be a simple formality and so it was. The Primavera reached it’s objective and went through to the semi-final of the Coppa Italia. After the 3-1 obtained in Sardinia the Caglari episode was concluded with another success.
The end result at the Chisola was 4-2 for Maddaloni’s team. The goals were scored by Immobile, Curcio, Bamba and Vecchione. The latter’s goal was particularly significant since it came on the day of his return from a ligament injury last May during the tour with the first team in China and Australia.
With the obstacle having been overcome the bianconeri are now amongst the four teams who will play for the trophy. The next opponent is Roma which eliminated Palermo.
Another step forward for Maddaloni’s boys, who are still in the lead of their group in the championship, and who will be playing in the Viareggio Tournament from next Monday.
