Viareggio, First Assault On The Final Phase

The second match of the 61st edition of the Viareggio Cup and first assault on the final phase for the Primavera. After having beat Maccabi Haifa rather easily (see article) in the inauguration match on Monday, Maddaloni’s boys will try to draw a line on Group 2.

At 17:00hrs, in Pontedera, the bianconeri will meet Parma, the other team with full points.

In case of success, the bianconeri would put an important seal on the qualification to the next round before their last match against Frosinone.

The match against the emiliani – which will be aired live on satellite channel Rai Sport Più – will also be an occasion for Juventus to get their revenge after the defeat in the championship a few months ago.

For today’s match, Massimiliano Maddaloni will not be able to count on Ekdal (who is with the Swedish Under21 team who will play against Italy tonight) and Ariaudo who returned to Turin to be available for Claudio Ranieri. Yago will return with the group.
